AN ALLEGED car and mobile phone thief has had a warrant issued for his arrest after missing a court hearing.
John Dorrian, accused of stealing a Vauxhall Meriva vehicle from an address on Maybole Road in Port Glasgow on February 18 last year, was absent from a calling of the case at Greenock Sheriff Court last week.
The 46-year-old, of Royal Street in Gourock, is charged with taking a mobile phone during the same incident and with being in possession of heroin at Greenock police office on the same date.
Solicitor Derek Buchanan had no explanation for his client’s non-attendance and Sheriff David Pender granted a warrant to apprehend.
