A MAGICIAN helped make isolation and loneliness disappear at a community event aimed at uniting Greenock residents.

The regular soup and blether meet-ups are held to bring communities together, give those in attendance life skills and boost their well-being.

The latest gathering took place at Larkfield Community Hall and featured a performance by magician, Phil Clark, along with an interactive game highlighting the importance of sustainability and an activity focused on the cost of living.

Sarah Smith, LinkLiving CEO and director of communities at organisers Link Group, said: “Community cohesion and connection is so important, and events such as these play an important part in helping build new relationships through providing opportunities for people to enjoy a warm meal and a chat."

The organisers thanked Plumbase and Graham for generously donating the soup makers for the event.
