A SICKENING online video of a bully cruelly tormenting a vulnerable woman in a Gourock street is today being investigated by police.

A man calling himself Ross Morgan in the shocking footage is heard to wickedly degrade the woman after accosting her in broad daylight over a spurious £100 debt.

Two male pedestrians are seen to hurriedly walk by as ‘Morgan’ — who also refers to himself during the clip as ‘the Big Man’ — berates his bemused victim on Shore Street.

The woman is made to jump up and down multiple times and spin around again and again in order to pay off her ‘ticker’ during her ordeal, after pleading that she has no money.

The video — which was uploaded to Facebook on Saturday — has been viewed nearly 30,000 times and has prompted a flood of comments from disgusted social media users.

Now Inverclyde’s police commander, Chief Inspector Elliot Brown, has mobilised a team of his officers to probe the ‘disturbing incident’.

He said today: “Our neighbourhood officers have been deployed to find this lady and speak to her about what has happened here.

“It’s clearly a disturbing incident to have taken place and we will also be looking to see if CCTV cameras have gained further footage of it.”

The online video — which is believed to have been shot on a mobile phone — doesn’t show the bully’s face, as the camera focuses solely on the woman, whom he calls ‘Janice’.

Ch Insp Brown, pictured inset, vowed: “If we can establish criminality, we will be taking action.”

During the video, the man holding the camera approaches the woman and says: “There’s the bold Janice.”

He then immediately barks at her: “Where’s ma money? You owe me a hunner quid. It needs to be paid noo.”

The bewildered woman replies that she hasn’t ‘got a penny’ before the man points to a pair of red-coloured Cabrini shoes she’s wearing.

He orders her to take them off, telling her: “I want them aff you to pay your ticker. It’s either that or you’re getting smashed.”

When the woman asks his name, the man replies: “I’m the Big Man — it’s Ross Morgan.”

He then adds: “I want those (shoes) off you right now.”

The man then turns his attention to a yellow jacket worn by the woman, saying: “Gie’s yer jaiket and we’ll call it quits.”

After the woman tells him that the jacket doesn’t belong to her, the bully orders her to ‘jump up and down 10 times’ — which she tries to do before stumbling off the pavement and into a puddle.

She is then ordered to spin around 10 times, and repeatedly told to ‘keep spinning’ before the video ends with the man saying: “Right, sorted.”

A torrent of comments from outraged Facebook users have been posted on to the page on which the footage appeared.

One said: “People liking this, sharing it, should hang their heads. If you don’t feel anything but rotten after watching that you’re just as bad as the person videoing it.”

Another person branded the video a ‘disgrace’ for ‘picking on the vulnerable’.

One woman wrote: “Can’t believe groups are actually sharing this video as if it’s funny!”

The poster also branded the man in the video ‘an absolute disgrace’.
