TWO sporty school pupils have been chosen to fly the flag for Scotland at a top UK competition.
Runner Cameron Watson and judo competitor Ezri Bradley, who both attend Clydeview Academy, will represent their country at the National School Games on Thursday.
The dedicated duo will travel down to Loughborough for the event for the UK's elite young athletes.
Cameron, 16, who trains six days a week with Inverclyde Athletic Club, said: "I'm chuffed to represent Scotland at the games.
"I'm going to be running the 3,000m.
"This is the first time I've been to this type of competition so I'm a wee bit nervous."
Cameron's dad James, added: "As a family, we are all so proud of what he has achieved."
Ezri, 16, who trains with Clyde Judo Club, is no stranger to the competition as she won bronze at the event last year.
She said: "It's the second time I've been to the competition but it's nerve wracking because it's very busy.
"I hope to improve on my result last year.
"To get bronze last year was amazing."
Teacher Jill Gillespie, the school's communications officer, says everyone at Clydeview will be rooting for Ezri and Cameron.
She said: "We wish them all the best in their respective events."
