Early Wyllie artwork discovered

THIS is one of George Wyllie's earliest sculptures that could now find its way to an exhibition in Glasgow.
The artwork, dating from the 1960s and depicting Greenock in the early years of the 18th century, takes pride of place in the Oystercatcher in Tain, Dornoch.
It belongs to restauranteurs George and Susan Robertson, who also owned some other early Wyllie scupltures.
They once had a 'bumper fish', a sculpture made out of car parts, that hung in the Bay Hotel, Gourock, which they owned up until the 1990s.
An appeal in the Telegraph earlier this month looking for the bumper fish has prompted others to come forward with some of George's earlier work.
