A CHARITY ladies day helped raise vital funds for Greenock Wanderers and a local therapy service.
Rugby mums Janice Kelly and Kath McFarlane organised an event in support of their sons’ team.
They also helped raise hundreds of pounds for Mind Mosaic, who offer counselling and therapy for both adults and children.
The pair were overwhelmed by the backing from the club, family and friends.
Greenock Wanderers’ own ladies team even turned up on the day to show their support.
Fundraiser Janice said: “We wanted to show our support and help raise money for the Greenock Wanderers.
“But I am aware of the great work Mind Mosaic do and we decided to help them as well. It was a great day and everyone had fun.”
Janice’s son Ross and team-mate Max McFarlane both play for Greenock Wanderers.
Janice added: “We wanted to show our support for the rugby club. It is a fantastic organisation and has a great set up.”
