BUS fares in Inverclyde have risen for the second time in eight months.
McGill’s announced its Go!Zone 5 tickets " which cover unlimited travel between Gourock, including McInroy’s Point, and Glasgow " will rise by 80p for a one-week ticket and £3 for a four-week ticket.
A statement on McGill’s website said: “Due to the impact of rising costs on our operations, McGill’s will reluctantly implement a fares increase to Go!Zone 1 and Go!Zone 5 tickets from Monday 2 September.
“Please be assured that we have endeavoured to keep these increases as low as possible.”
Back in January the company introduced a five per cent rise.
