ENERGETIC youngsters had the chance to try out dance and gymnastics at an exciting Easter camp in Greenock.

About 500 children aged from three to 12 have been attending the two-week Dazzles Fit Kids Holiday camp in George Square, which finishes this Friday.

As well as dance and gymnastics, the youngsters have also enjoyed arts and crafts, soft play, trampolining and Commonwealth Games-themed activities.

Lynne Cameron, managing director of Dazzles Dance Studio, who runs it in partnership with gymnastics coach Christine Anderson, says the camp has been more popular than ever before.

She told the Tele: “This is the most successful camp we’ve ever had and it’s the first time we’ve done if over two weeks.

“We also run the camp during the summer and in October and it gets busier and busier each time.

“The kids really enjoy it because it’s child-led and there is a huge amount of activities on offer. So it’s not only fun but it keeps them fit.” The camp will conclude with a big party.
