YOUNG fashionistas made their own trendy clothes and jewellery as part of an Easter fashion camp.
From tops and belts to hair accessories and jewellery, 10 talented youngsters aged between nine and 15 showed their flair for design at the week-long event held by the Fashion Class in Kilmacolm Community Centre.
Marilyn Thompson — who set up the school in 2011 to help her teenage daughter Holly and her friends create their own looks — says it was fabulous.
She told the Tele: “They’ve all really enjoyed it and I’m always so impressed by their creativity.
“During the week they’ve made so many things, including fashionable bunny ears and they also bleached and tie-dyed t-shirts, customized trainers using permanent pens and gemstones and made pin cushions.
“It has been great.” Marilyn, who studied fashion at Cardonald College, was blown away by their fashion illustrations.
She said: “I gave them design briefs asking them to come up with designs from the 1950s or other themes, so they had to illustrate what they wanted to do and then design the clothing.
“It was amazing to see their ideas.” The Fashion Class starts back today and limited spaces are available.
