A GREENOCK woman won an iPad after popping into her local bakers for breakfast.
Delighted Joan Laird completed a voting form at Aulds in Brisbane Street and was entered into a prize draw.
The competition was part of the Scottish Baker of the Year Awards in which Aulds Empire Biscuit received a Highly Commended award.
Joan’s son Andrew was delighted to accept the prize on her behalf.
He said: “Aulds is the only bakers my mother or I ever go to.
“She is very excited to win and couldn’t believe it when she heard the news.’ Fiona Phillips, development director at Aulds, said: “Presenting Joan with an iPad Mini is the icing on the cake after our award.” Joan is a life-long customer and shops in a number of the firm’s branches.
The Scottish Baker of the Year Awards was devised by Scottish Bakers to raise awareness of the bakery industry in Scotland.
