PUPILS from a Greenock primary turned their school into a sea of colour after coming up with a ‘bright’ fundraising idea.
Youngsters on the pupil council at Ardgowan Primary helped raise more than £350 for school funds by organising a multi-coloured day.
Everyone dressed up in their brightest and most colourful outfits in return for a small donation and there was also lots of fun and games including a raffle featuring lots of multi-coloured items, a guess how many sweets in the jar, and ‘beat the goalie’ with help from four Morton first team stars including goalkeeper Nicolas Caraux.
Each class also held a competition to see who could wear the most colourful outfit.
Alison McLellan, Ardgowan head teacher, said: “We had a great afternoon and great fun whilst raising money for the school. That will now go towards treats, activities and days out for the pupils.”
