Harrowing details of tragic Stephen McGowan's final moments were read out in court as Connor Grana, 18, admitted murdering him and Graeme Carter, 26, pled guilty to culpable homicide.
The pair had pursued their terrified victim through a number of streets in town before Grana stabbed the young father inside a close on High Street.
Mr McGowan, pictured, somehow managed to stagger to his girlfriend's mother's house nearby for help, but he collapsed and died seconds later.
A judge heard how Stephen, who was 23, had jumped into a taxi on Cathcart Street in a desperate bid to escape Grana and Carter - only to be immediately followed by the pair in another cab.
Grana and Carer will be sentenced in January following their guilty pleas during today's hearing in front of Judge Lord Bannatyne.
