POLITICIANS were enchanted by youngsters at a Greenock nursery during a general election campaign visit.
Labour candidate for Inverclyde, Iain McKenzie, was joined at the Enchanted Forest Nursery by Scottish Shadow Minister for Children and Young People, Cara Hilton MSP.
They praised nursery managing director Mariessa Devlin for expanding the business from its original site to cover four childcare centres in the west of Scotland.
And they also highlighted the nursery’s apprenticeship scheme, which provides a training-based route into the childcare sector.
Mr McKenzie said: “The nursery is another Inverclyde business success story, going from small beginnings and now employing over 80 people throughout the west of Scotland.
“They continue to be a fantastic employer in the area, with excellent training and an apprenticeship programme to help people in Inverclyde get on the career ladder.”
