ICONIC paddle steamer the Waverley has arrived in Greenock for a ‘facelift’.
The last sea-going vessel of its kind in the world is now at Garvel Dry Dock for her annual inspection and a touch of TLC ahead of the busy summer sailing season which starts next month.
She was towed to her temporary resting place on Friday is expected to remain there for the next two weeks.
A spokesman for ship owners Waverley Excursions said: “She has gone into the dry dock for a wee facelift before the summer sailing season starts on 21 May.” For excursion dates, times and prices, visit www.waverleyexcursions.co.uk
