RESIDENTS at a Greenock care home took a step back to the sixties to celebrate scoring top marks in a recent inspection.

A party atmosphere swept through Kincaid House as residents joined staff and about 180 guests for a 1960s themed garden barbecue to celebrate being awarded the best possible rating from the Care Inspectorate — six out of six.

Care home manager Andrea Wyllie said: “We thought it only appropriate to celebrate our six out of six rating with a 60s celebration. “Everyone really got into the swing of the celebrations and loved spending the day reminiscing with each other, and sharing memories with their guests.” Staff at the Oakfield Terrace home, which is run by Meallmore, were also given appreciation bags as a thanks for all their hard work.

Special thanks also go to local musician Sharon Glendinning who performed at the event.
