A TWINKLE-TOED dancer could soon sweep down the supermarket aisles in a new Sainsbury’s TV advert.

Six-year-old Sarah Flynn was shortlisted from hordes of hopefuls to audition for a part.

And if successful, she could feature on the company website and on TV commercials.

Her proud mum Laura said: “An agency posted an advert on Facebook looking for outgoing four to six-year-olds.

“I sent an email and photos and two days later the film and casting director called asking her to go in for an audition.” A full movie crew descended on the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow to shoot the scenes last week.

This followed other auditions in London, Cardiff and Manchester, and Sarah hopes she will be one of the lucky ones.

Laura who lives in Pennyfern Road with Sarah, younger daughter Olivia, two, and husband Paul, said: “She was very excited about it. She was asked questions about food and she was doing cartwheels when she came out.” Sarah attends St Andrew’s Primary in Greenock and is a member of Graffiti Dance Troupe and does disco dancing, cheerleading, majorettes and ballet.

A visit to the dance class by a top choreographer who has worked with stars like Kylie and Madonna left a lasting impression on the youngster.

Her proud mum Laura, 31, said: “She took a Tim Noble masterclass and he told her she was a superstar and said she would be on TV one day.

“This gave her extra confidence.

Laura, an admin assistant with Inverclyde Council, said: “She’s very bubbly.

“This is all new to me and I’m trying to get my head round it but this is what Sarah wants to do, I wouldn’t push her into it.” Her daughter also has time to fit karate classes into her busy schedule.

Laura quipped: “She does anything to burn up all her energy!” Lynne Weston, managing director of Graffiti Dance Troupe and Dazzles Dance Studio, has her fingers crossed that her pupil will star on screen for Sainsbury’s.

She said: “Sarah has been with us for three years. She’s fabulous fun, really energetic and up for anything. She’s a wee cracker.”
