HIGH visibility reflective badges are being handed out to schoolchildren in Port Glasgow as part of a road safety initiative.
The ‘Be Safe Be Seen’ campaign is being launched by Co-operative Funeralcare in Princes Street, who are donating 220 pin badges to youngsters at St John’s Primary School on 23 October. During the event, staff from the funeral director’s will also talk to children about road safety.
Manager Declan O’Donnell said: “With the clocks soon to go back, darker mornings and evenings mean youngsters need to take even more care on their way to and from school.”
