Singer KT Tunstall launched an online appeal after her tambourine was stolen at a gig, guilt-tripping the thief into sending it back to her in a taxi.
The multi-million selling Brit Award-winning star was playing in Wick in the Scottish Highlands when a fan made off with the instrument.
She put an appeal on Twitter, posting: "Wick! Amazing show thank you but someone stole my tambourine off stage; if you know where it is please return to the Mackay Hotel tomorrow am."
She added: "Please RT & help find my tambourine somewhere in Wick!! I got more shows to do, and it's sentimental! Thx xx"
Her fans used #wherestambo to try and track down the missing tambourine and the singer said on Saturday it was returned to her "alone, in a taxi".
She then wrote a song celebrating its return and posted: "We did it! I got tambo back! Thanks for your help my peeps! Hey, sometimes excitement gets the better of us!"
She is on tour to promote her new album Kin, written in a two-year break from performing, and is set to play at the Proms in the Park event in Glasgow next month.
