CINDERELLA rocked up to Inverkip Primary and ensured that everyone enjoyed a fairytale as the end of the school year approaches.

Everyone’s favourite princess found her prince as the school put a fresh twist on the timeless classic.

There was dancing, singing and laughter as pupils from P3 to P7 showed the deep well of talent in their classrooms.

But it wasn’t just out front on stage, as pupils were pulling the strings behind the scenes, working the lighting and making it all come together.

Teachers, staff and parents alike were queuing up to give the show rave reviews after four fabulous performances.

Primary seven teacher Rhona Findlay said: “The show has been a huge success, the children did really well and are really proud of what they achieved.”

The primary sevens were cast in key roles like Cinderella and her ‘Rockerfella’ — formerly known as Prince Charming — as well as old favourites Buttons, the Ugly Sisters and the fairy godmothers.

There were also some new faces with music managers, paparazzi and good and bad fairies, with the show set in the world of fame and celebrity.

At the end there was a standing ovation for all the staff and pupils who had helped pull it together.
