I’M delighted to say that I’ve got some very exciting news for everyone this week.

I can exclusively reveal to Tele readers that I am the new presenter of BBC's Animal Park!

I will be joining the lovely Ben Fogle and Kate Humble at Longleat Estate, pictured, to bring you all the goings on at the iconic safari park.

It’s 50 years since the 6th Marquis of Bath allowed the public to drive cars through a field of lions and giraffes, and much like our own Blair Drummond Safari Park, it has been enjoyed by millions of families since.

I am delighted to start working on  such a long-running popular show on BBC daytime, and I can’t wait to get up close and personal with all the creatures and characters at Longleat! It’s a dream job for me.

I’ll be sure to keep readers posted on all the goings on.

Comedy at The Beacon

An evening with Phil Differ looks like a great show.

The comedy genius behind hits like Rab C Nesbitt, Naked Video and Only An Excuse? will give the audience a night of showbiz anecdotes, stand up comedy and guaranteed laughs.

He reminisces on his misspent youth, discusses problems with being a middle aged man trapped in a 20 year old’s body and tells the inspirational story of going from being a failed accounts clerk at BT to becoming one of the biggest names in Scottish comedy.

If you are a fan of his shows, you will not want to miss this one which takes place on April 8 at the Beacon Arts Centre.

Zootropolis

Junior and I really enjoyed seeing Zootropolis at Greenock waterfront cinema.
I sometimes dread having to sit through kids’ films, but this is one for all the family. It tells the story of bunny Judy Hoops, who is the first rabbit to join the police force, and her sidekick, a wily Fox named Nick Wilde.

The two of them set off to solve a mysterious case in the city of Zootropolis, where all animals live and thrive together.

It’s fun and wacky and there are some really nice messages in there for the wee ones. Great fun.

As a local mum, I can recommend it.
