MORTON lost 2-1 to a Swansea City Under-23s side including former loan striker Alex Samuel in a friendly match at Cappielow last night.
Ton boss Jim Duffy used his side’s free matchday in the Betfred Cup to host the English Premier League club’s development squad.
The 44th-minute opener from George Byers was cancelled out by Jon Scullion's 20-yard scorcher on 72 minutes.
But Ton were on level terms for just six minutes after midfielder Tom Holland lashed a controlled volley past Gaston to make it 2-1.
