MORTON will open their Championship season at Cappielow against Queen of the South on August 4.

They then travel to Alloa the following Saturday before a home clash against Ross County who have just been relegated from the Premiership.

Their first game against Partick Thistle is on September 1 at Firhill.

Morton are at home to Dundee United for their final league game of the season.

Fixtures for the upcoming season across all four divisions were released by the SPFL this morning. Before Morton start their Championship campaign, they face Ayr United, Partick Thistle, Stenhousemuir and Albion Rovers in the Betfred Cup group stages. Ton’s first tie is at Somerset Park on Saturday July 14.

McKinnon’s men then travel to Firhill three days later to take on Championship rivals Thistle.

League One team Stenny visit Cappielow on Saturday July 21 before Ton face their final group game against Rovers a week later.
