GREENOCK parkrun event number 417 on Saturday saw the monthly pacer run take place.

A total of 98 people ran, jogged and walked the course.

Of these, 10 were first timers, including three runners who were taking part in their first ever parkrun.

Fourteen recorded new personal bests and representatives of 11 different clubs took part.

This week there were four notable milestones.

Robert Dolan completed his 25th parkrun and Laurie Donaldson took part in his 300th.

Robert Paterson, with a new PB of 16:32, was first to finish this week.

He was followed by Paul Monaghan (16:54) and Peter Tucker (17:01).

With a new PB of 21:51, Eleanor Connelly of Kilmacolm Unofficial Running Club, was first of the ladies to complete the course.

Also recording a new PB, of 22:55, was second place female Lesley Weber.

Completing the top three female finishers was Jill Aikman in 23:26.
