Battery Park junior parkrun, event number 111, October 22

A TOTAL of 24 youngsters took part in the latest junior parkrun at a sun kissed Battery Park.

Of these runners, Hunter was running at Greenock for the first time and it was his 54th junior parkrun overall. Two runners, Ben and Oliver, achieved new PBs.

There were three runner milestones - Catriona and Jamie Pringle received their half marathon wristbands for completing 11 junior parkruns, and Lewis Clark received his ultra marathon wristband having completed 50 junior parkruns.

Louis Reid (07:22) was the first of the boys to complete the course. He was followed by Noah Carroll (08:14) and Elijah Taylor in 08:23.

In 10:46, Catriona Pringle was first girl to finish. Caitlin Taylor (13:32) was second and Rosie Gregg (15:15) completed the top three girls.

This Sunday will be the Hallowe'en junior parkrun. Dressing up is optional and there will be prizes for the best costume.
