WINNING at the double came easily for Greenock Wanderers U13s as they recorded two memorable victories in one day at Fort Matilda.
They also secured their best result of the season so far by defeating Ayr 24-7.
First half tries from Ramsay, Isaac and a brace from Max blew Ayr away in a dominant first half performance.
Ayr regrouped after the break and won the second half 7-0 with the Wanderers defence working tirelessly to keep them out and secure the memorable win.
Wanderers had lost to Ayr already this season so Sunday's result is a measure of how far the team has progressed.
In the second game of the afternoon Wanderers defeated Dalziel 40-10 in another disciplined display.
Two tries from Oscar and others from Blaine, Jake , Ramsay and Mikey secured a comfortable victory.
The watching home support from the club balcony cheered the boys throughout.
That completes the organised fixtures for the U13s and they now move onto single matches as they continue their development into the midi section.
