INVERCLYDE Athletic Club's Zoomin' Zebras and Minis recently completed their first block of development with a Team Challenge.

The Zoomin Zebras had some poor weather to contend with but there were smiles all round at the end with the presentation of the coveted Team Challenge medals to the winning team.

Competitor Rosa Currie was delighted to now have a complete set of Team Challenge medals.

Athletes completed six events over three sessions - hurdles, steeplechase, long jump and a few agility challenges.

The winning teams were:

Monday - Rosa Currie, Sophie McMillan, Louis Thompson, May McGonigle, Eilidh Hyett, Reenie Henry, Rory Campbell and Aaron Kirkwood.

Tuesday - Paige Marner, Brodie Clarke, Brodie Hall, Breagha Cannon, Blake MacKinnon, Sophie O’Brien, Daniel Hay and Ella Pollard.

Wednesday - Isobel Burrows, Lucie Cowan, Ailedh Strathie, Luke Bryceland and Jamie Fulton.

The Minis’ challenge took place indoors at Clydeview Academy with six teams completing six events.

The winners were - Gracie Farish, Louisa Roy, Rufus Peden, Rhuairidh Callan, Charlie Gilmour, Adam Harkins, Erin Docherty.

The club thanks the Zoomin Zebra and Minis coaching teams, ground staff at Ravenscraig Stadium and the PE department and janitors at Clydeview Academy.
