ABERDEEN ace Nicky Low scored a vital penalty in yesterday’s League Cup final shootout to help secure the club’s first piece of silverware in almost 20 years.
The 21-year-old from Greenock coolly slotted home from the spot as the Dons beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 4-2 on penalties and lifted the trophy in front of 51,000 fans at Celtic Park.
The highly-rated midfielder calmly stepped up to take his penalty and help ex-Morton ace Derek McInnes’ side win the cup competition.
Low earned himself a winners’ medal as Aberdeen finally ended their 19-year wait for silverware.
