MORTON left Dunfermline empty-handed on Saturday afternoon after a comprehensive 3-1 defeat at East End Park.
After a dominant and promising first half, the Greenock men couldn’t get going at all in the second half and fell to goals from Nicky Clark, Michael Moffat and Rhys McCabe.
Ton forward Lawrence Shankland netted what turned out to be merely a consolation goal, his second in as many weeks.
