MOTHERWELL boss Stephen Robinson believes his side made Morton look average on Saturday after thrashing Ton 4-0 at Fir Park.

Well were convincing winners, and Robinson knows how easy his side made it look against Jim Duffy’s men.
But he insists Morton are a better team than they looked against his players.

He said: “We’re delighted, I thought the most pleasing aspect of the performance was our work rate.

“Believe me, Morton aren’t a bad team, but we made them look like they weren’t as good as they usually are because we worked hard on them and got really aggressive.

“We didn’t stop doing that at 1-0 or 2-0, we kept going and that was the most pleasing aspect to me.

“Last year we had to rely heavily on Louis Moult, but we played some super football.

“To earn the right to play football, we were aggressive, we scored a goal from a set-play that we’ve worked on and we earned the right.

“I’m not kidding myself, there’s still a lot of work to do, but you can see the makings of what we’re trying to do.

“Of all the good football we played, we earned that.

“And that’s the most pleasing thing for me.”
