MORTON boss Jim Duffy says he’s pleased with his side’s adaptability after watching them swap formations a couple of times already this season.
Ton have toyed with their usual 4-4-2 shape while also adapting to a 3-5-2 formation when opposition dictates.
And Duffy, whose side’s clash against Livingston was postponed on Saturday, admits he has been satisfied with his players’ ability to change things with little disruption to their fluidity and comfortability.
He said: “Teams play each other so often in this league and sometimes you have to try something a bit different to give opponents something to think about.
“Sometimes you can chop and change it maybe a bit too much but we’ve tweaked some formations and a little bit of personnel as well but you’ve got to make sure you play to the strengths that suit you.
“It doesn’t do any harm every now and then to throw something into the mix that might give your opponent something to think about.
“That’s obviously not always the case because you’ve got injury and form, but we can mix it up a little bit here and there.
“I like to think we’ve handled some of our changes quite well so far even if it doesn’t always work 100 per cent of the time.”
