MORTON’S play-off hopes are all but over after a 1-0 defeat to Queen of the South at Cappielow Park on Saturday.
Lyndon Dykes’ strike midway through the second half leaves the Ton five points adrift of Dunfermline and Dundee United, who both won at the weekend with two games left to play.
It was a dismal afternoon for the Ton who never got going and were left to rue what could have been, Bob McHugh having the hosts’ best chances to score.
