MORTON loan striker Declan McManus last night won his first Scotland Under-21 cap in an international friendly against Switzerland.
The Aberdeen hitman was also called up for a national team double header against Slovakia and Luxembourg back in September but failed to feature.
However, the 20-year-old was selected from the start and wore the No9 shirt as Ricky Sbragia’s side secured a 1-1 draw in Thun.
The young Scots fell behind to a Musa Araz goal after 43 minutes but snatched a draw when sub Cameron King scored deep into stoppage time at the end of the 90 minutes.
McManus, who started alongside former Ton loanee Stuart Findlay, played for 72 minutes before making way for Reading’s Harry Cardwell.
