MORTON defender Stefan Milojevic has been dealt a massive blow after learning he has ruptured the cruciate ligament in his knee and faces an operation followed by six months out.
The Serbian, who has been absent since making a sub appearance in the 4-0 win over Dunfermline on 28 March, suffered the injury in training.
And the 24-year-old was this week given the devastating news that the problem was more serious than first feared and that his season was over.
Gutted manager Jim Duffy told the Tele: “Stefan has a ruptured cruciate ligament, which is obviously a very serious injury.” In other injury news, Conor Pepper has undergone a long-awaited scan to investigate his own knee problem but the result was inconclusive.
The Ton boss explained: “Conor’s had a scan but there’s still a lot of bruising in the knee. There’s no ligament damage but because of the amount of bruising it’s still difficult to see so we don’t have the full report yet.”
