The centre-half is currently in the USA with the Canuck’s Under-23 squad as they attempt to book their place at the Brazil 2016 games, missing Ton’s 2-1 loss at Raith on Saturday as a result.
Gasparotto, 20, played the full 90 minutes in both Canada’s 3-1 loss to the USA in their opening group fixture and their subsequent 3-1 win over Panama.
They face Cuba in Colorado later this evening, and a win over the Group A basement boys would guarantee their place in the final four.
However, it would also have the knock-on effect of extending his stay in North America, thereby ruling him out of the Ton’s rearranged match with Queen of the South on Saturday.
Patriotic Gasparotto tweeted: “Good 3-1 win over Panama. Next game [is] Tuesday against Cuba.”
